‘02 Xterra, 4wd 3.3 v6 manual.
First order of business will be another pair of K02 for the front. Should probably take care of the scratch on the fender too.

Noice.

Let me know when you want to go break it in. or break it, as was the case last time I went out with an xterra.

Green is good.

Forest Green, for those who are curious.

I love that! Very nice find. The Xterra is on the short list for an off road vehicle purchase in my near future.

Centerlink? They have some weak ass front end parts in those first gen front ends.

Future classics, these are.

Im not sure what the centerlink is, but the pitman arm on the PS bent all to hell.

Beautiful. I had a ‘00 in blue that I loved, also with KO2s . Just know that if you have to do the valve cover gasket on the drivers side you get to take the entire intake off. It really wasn’t bad though. Outside of that it was dead reliable (aside from the AC) from new to when I sold it at 200,000 miles.
Looking forward to your adventures.

Nice!

That’s been the case on any efi V engine that I’ve ever owned.

Yeah I figured I should grab one while they're cheap, since every cheap 4x4 eventually gets found out and stops being cheap.

Wonderful spec and great color. I really like these things and they've aged very well aside from the fuel economy. Has it got power or manual windows?

Power windows. And between my previous experience being 30 year old trucks and only commuting 24 miles a week the fuel budget isn't a concern lol

Ah, it should treat you well.

super cool - that has to be just about the rarest color, (or maybe that orange..)
![]() 11/04/2020 at 16:43 |

I didn't even know about orange. I wanted one in yellow but it's hard to be picky about that when you also want manual and want to stay local.

right, I worked with a guy that had one in the blue for years - we took it hiking all over. But 165k on it then sold it to a young family 5-6 years ago...

Man, remember when Nissan made interesting cars?
Nice pick up!

Good Xterra is good.
And how much do you plan to use it? If it’s going off pavement, I wouldn’t worry about fixing the scratch that much, beyond rust prevention.
![]() 11/05/2020 at 13:58 |

It's 100% a rust prevention thing.

Makes sense. That’s one thing I appreciated about mine, it was nice but not perfect, so getting scratches and swirls from rocks and branches don’t bother me. Just gotta touch them up to stop rust.
As an aside, since this was an Oklahoma/Arkansas/ Southern Missouri truck, it’s the least rusty vehicle I’ve owned.
